Lebanon County Christian Ministries Receives $10,000 Grant from Bayer Fund
Donation to help provide food assistance.
Lebanon PA / January 8th, 2024 – Lebanon County Christian Ministries announced today it received a grant for $10,000 from Bayer Fund, a philanthropic arm of Bayer in the U.S. This grant will be used towards building a better future by providing access to healthy food to those utilizing the Market on 7th, a charitable food pantry of Lebanon County Christian Ministries.
“We are very excited to have been selected by Bayer Fund to support such critical work being done here in the Lebanon Community,” said Bryan D. Smith, Executive Director of LCCM.
In Bayer Fund and LCCM’s mutual goal to see the communities we serve flourish, this grant from Bayer Fund will support the organization by allowing them to purchase high quality foods and distribute these items to those in their community with food insecurity. Last year, Lebanon County Christian Ministries provided near a half a million pounds of food to the community, of which Bayer Fund provided funding support.
Bayer Fund supports Bayer’s, one of the country’s largest life-sciences companies, mission of Health for All, Hunger for None by working with organizations and non-profits, like LCCM’s, to deliver on shared goals and overall strengthen our country’s communities.
“Through Bayer Fund’s giving, we’re enabling and strengthening organizations that are working to make real, sustainable impacts in their local communities across the United States,” said Al Mitchell, President of Bayer Fund. “Programs like Lebanon County Christian Ministries and their Market on 7th help combat the critical issue of food insecurity, and we’re proud to play a role with helping even more people in our community have access to healthy, nutritious food.”
In 2023, Bayer Fund awarded $12.1 million in grants to more than 2,300 charities and nonprofit organizations to help address essential needs in food and nutrition, STEM education and health and wellness. Since 2017, nonprofit organizations across the U.S. have received nearly $90 million from the Bayer Fund.
